Sabbatical Retreats: Time for restoration of the soul.
Sabbatical retreats began in Biblical times when every seventh year was a time to allow the ground to rest. The practice has been continued more recently by colleges and universities for their professors. Now many corporations are enticing top personnel with sabbatical benefits. They’ve learned that a person, who is not in touch with themselves, cannot add job stress without suffering consequences to the company.
A sabbatical offers a person a time to be free from their job role and be comfortable with themselves. When was the last time you took a day or two just for you? No agenda other than peace of mind, a heart of gratefulness, and solitude? We customize retreats to the request of the client. Times of solitude are built into a very relaxed schedule. There are no meetings to rush to, just times of thoughtful reflection, grateful inspiration, and spiritual meditation. I also customize hikes and retreats for groups or organizations.
I am so convinced everyone needs to get away from their routine regularly that I've designed my seasonal Sabbatical Hikes to give you that opportunity. It's a mini retreat! We'll hit a trail in beautiful East Tennessee. There will be opportunity for solitude as well as group interaction over lunch. You'll be surprised at how your emotions are renewed as your body experiences the hike. The sound of falling water, birds and a breeze in the trees washes away your work stress. Join me on the trail!
